Melrose River Club,, a boutique riverfront hotel along the spring-fed San Marcos River, is a thoughtfully reimagined retreat just 30 minutes from Austin, Texas. Once a forgotten motor court, the property has been transformed into a lush, design-forward escape inspired by vintage Acapulco beach clubs, complete with modern indulgences like a champagne vending machine in the lobby. The 12-acre, adults-only property features three dozen upscale accommodations, including cabins with kitchenettes and chic shipping container casitas with private outdoor showers.
Melrose River Club wanted to build awareness in the competitive San Marcos hospitality market shortly after opening, where large chain hotels dominated visibility. While guests who discovered the property quickly became repeat visitors and strong advocates, awareness remained limited even within the local San Marcos and Texas State communities.
