Who Are They

The Stelos Alliance is a non-profit organization benefiting Texas State University students and other exceptional students around the country. With a 100% donor efficiency guarantee, every dollar donated to student scholarships is a dollar in the pocket of an extraordinary young leader.

Challenge

Stelos Alliance came to Delicious Digital Marketing looking for growth. The organization wanted to increase the number of scholarships offered, expand offerings to students beyond Texas State, and build a community and network to provide opportunities to young leaders.

The organization had been around for a number of years, but hadn’t developed its digital marketing channels. There were multiple social media accounts that no one seemed to be able to access and a website that hadn’t been updated since the organization started in 2008.

Our goal was to create brand awareness to current and prospective students, alumni, and faculty of Texas State University. Through improved brand awareness the organization expected to increase donations for scholarships, internship and job opportunities, and create a true Stelos Alliance network.

Solution

Delicious Digital Marketing created a content-forward digital marketing plan to educate, inspire, and excite the various target markets of the brand. Each content pillar created had a specific goal in mind.

The content pillars included:

  • The Bobcat Bucket List inspires students and faculty to get involved with the local community and remind alumni what makes Texas State so special.
  • Bobcat Alumni Then & Now excites and inspires current and prospective students on the opportunities available through Texas State while recognizing the alumni that paved the way and encouraging them to stay involved.
  • Student Spotlights showcase the amazing talent at Texas State while educating donors on who they’d be supporting by contributing to scholarship funds or career opportunities.
  • Memory Lane educates students on the past of Texas State while evoking emotion in alumni and faculty who were around during those days.
  • Where in the World is Bill allowed us to use video instead of copy to tell inspirational stories that resonate with students, alumni, and faculty alike.

This content was paired with fun graphic design and professional photography and video to bring it all to life on a variety of marketing channels.

Results

This content was hosted on blog pages throughout the website and then promoted on Facebook and Instagram. While they had little to no following to start, by creating engaging content and boosting the right posts, they built up their following to over 1300 engaged users. By providing valuable content to followers, they’ve stayed engaged and became more likely to donate to the organization.

Through the website and social media, we’ve promoted various donation drives, charity events, and contests to raise more money for student leaders than ever before. There’s now a student group at the University and regularly scheduled networking events, creating a true community for Stelos Alliance.

  • Started a new Instagram profile and grew to 1000+ followers within three months
  • Tripled the followers on Facebook to 1.5K
  • Increased website visitors from an average of 300 per month to over 2000 per month
  • Increased page views from an average of 1.2 to 3.4 views
